About Swedish road signs
Road signs are grouped by function. Warning signs are yellow triangles with a red border and warn of hazards. Prohibitory signs are round with a red border and tell you what you may not do. Mandatory signs are round and blue and show what you must do. Information signs are square and blue and give guidance, while location signs point the way to towns, places and services.
In this catalog you will find every official road sign with an image, its meaning in plain language, what to do as a driver, where the sign is used and common mistakes on the theory test. The content is based on the Swedish Transport Agency's regulations and written for learner drivers.
Recognising the road signs is a big part of the theory test. Choose a category above to read about all the signs in that group, or practise directly in our free road sign quiz. Road signs quiz
